Singular nouns name one person, place, or thing.

Plural nouns name more than one person, place, or thing.
How to Make Plural Nouns
✅ Add -s to most nouns.

Example: bird → birds, snake → snakes
✅ Add -es to nouns ending in ch, sh, s, ss, or x.

Example: finch → finches, dish → dishes, box → boxes
✅ For nouns ending in consonant + y, change the y to i and add -es.

Example: butterfly → butterflies, puppy → puppies

Instead, they change form or stay the same when they become plural.
Examples of Irregular Plural Nouns

foot → feet

leaf → leaves

tooth → teeth
