Today's lesson
1. Synonyms (words with same / similar meaning) and antonyms (words with opposite / different meanings)
use "or" if you see: can / prefer/ ?
You can open the window or you can turn on the A/C.
use "and" if the 2 sentences A & B have similar ideas
He likes to play hockey and he likes to swim.
use "but" if the 2 sentences A & B have opposite idea, if there's a "not" or sentence A is positive, sentence B is negative.
The test was very hard but I still got a great score.
He enjoys camping but he doesn't like hiking.
3. Review words with long e sound, RWN p.77.
4. Genre and author's purpose review worksheet completed in class and RWN p.73.
5. Review WK 5 vocabulary and definition
6. School outing, no level class tomorrow. Homework still handed in tomorrow before period 1.
