 Today's lesson

1. Unit Test paper review and correction. 

  • definition that starts with "to....." is a VERB 
  • common spelling mistakes in the test: spirit vs separate, dollars not dollers, squirrel

2. Long "e" can be spelled "ey / y/ ie" 



     examples: 

  • jury ~ the group of people who attend, listen and then decide if a suspect/defendant is quilty or not in the court. 
  • alley ~ narrow road or path between buildings
  • collie ~ a type of dog with long hair
  • breezy ~ chilly or a little windy

            favor not flavor: flavor is the taste of food. 

  •     on the prairie; on the balcony. 
  • steady is an adjective
        He is a steady driver.
