 Today's lesson 

1. Review Unit Test: Reading Street story Goodbye 382 Shin Dang Dong and adverbs. 

2. Adverb: 

  •     special attention: some words have same spelling for adjectives and adverbs

    fast - fast: I run fast. (adverb- run is an action verb)

                     He is a fast runner. (adjective - "be" verb)

    hard - hard: We study hard. (adverb- study is an action verb)

                        The Unit Test is very hard. (adjective - "be" verb). The adverb in this sentence is: VERY 

  •     special note on "be" verb: if there is only 1 verb ("be" verb ) in a sentence, then it is usually an adjective. 
        The boy is ("be" verb) always (adv.) good(adj) in his tests. 

        The boy is doing (present continuous tense) well (adv.) in his test. (The "be" verb here is called "auxiliary verb")

3. Completed RWN p. 340, about poem.
