 Today's lesson 

1. Week 8 VW and definition 

   preposition to go with the VW:     

           on a day / on Monday / on domingo = el domingo in Spanish 

at the pier 

          stare at someone (look at me!)

          at night 

 2. Homophones: words with the same sounds but different spellings and meanings as in: stare / stair 

    chili / chilly. Completed the homophone pair on the printout. 

3. Exam scope can be found in Week 9 of the communication book. Please check and mark down the important dates.  Details as below: 

 4th Grade Midterm Exam Scope -- Fall, 2024

v  Listening Exam: Wednesday, 10/23

v  Oral Exam: Thursday/Friday, 10/24-25

 LISTENING:

o   Hottest, Coldest, Highest, Deepest

o   Suki’s Kimono

o   Listening Skills: Listen for words in a sentence; listen and identify pictures; listen & circle the correct word; vocabulary words for spellings of Syllable CV/VC words, controlled /r/ sounded words.

 ORAL EXAMS: Sentence making from a picture using superlatives. (More detail will be given in Line group)

  WRITTEN EXAM:

·         Story Comprehension:
