1. Week 4 VW and definition #1-12 VW Review

    Class note: 

  1.  run/ ran / run , so outrun / outran / outrun 
  2. desert vs dessert ( sweet food you eat after a meal)
  3. average : an average (not a average),preposition to go with average:  
  • on average: Unit Test average is 85. if you get 85, you can say "My test score is on average."
  • you get 85 and lower, you say "My result is below average." 
  • you get 85 and more, you can say "My test result is above average."
4. depth (n) vs deep (adj)
5. record (n) vs record (v), they are pronounced with stress in different syllables. 
6. adjectives 
  • comparative - to compare two things 
  • superlative - to compare 3 or more things 
  • infinitive (mighty) - comparative (mightier than) - superlative (the mightiest) 
      smart - smarter than - the smartest     
      beautiful  - more beautiful  than - the most beautiful (use more / most on words with 3 or                         more syllables)

G4 summer holiday homework is given.        This year, students will do a PPT similar to the winter vacation homework, but the presentation should have a bit more feeling and some story telling which is linked to previous oral exams.   Please save it onto a USB and give to the new homeroom teachers to save for the first experience class of the new semester.  If you use ‘Canva’ you will need to remember the log in to set up for the experience class, or save the link onto a USB.   ·         You need to create a PPT consisting of 6-10 slides, no more or less. ·         One picture minimum per slide and some text explaining the picture.
