1. Reading Street story: The Man Who Invented Basketball p.28-42
2. Phrasal verb: a combination of a verb and one or more words (such as prepositions or adverbs) that, when used together, create a meaning different from the original verb.
example:
1. stay behind (remain): The students stayed behind in the classroom to finish writing their communication book.
2. take off(leave the ground): The plane will take off at 10 am.
3. look after (take care of): My mother always looks after me.
3. Pay attention to the following vocabulary:
1. We take a / the shortcut to school. (not walk / make )
2. I was born in Taiwn. ( be verb + past participle = passive voice; object to receive the action)
He ate an apple. (Active)
The apple was eaten by him. (Passive)
3. I was born on Dec 25th, 2023. ( a day : on ; a month: in; a year: in; a place: in)
