 Today's lesson 

1. Reviewed: homework and worksheet and practiced for tomorrow's quiz. 

2. Reviewed long vowel digraphs : 

    long a: ai / ay 

    long e: ea / ee 

    long o: oa / ow 

    we say the 1st letter, the 2nd letter is silent. 

3. Reminder: plural nouns of the following: 

    (a/e/i/o/u)y --- no change : key - keys ; day - days 

     story --- omit "y", add -ies : stories 

   * o/ s/ x / ch/ sh - add -es : mangoes / watches

    *f / fe omit "f/fe", add - ves: knife -knives 

    * fish - fish ; deer - deer ; sheep-sheep  ----- no change 

     *ox - oxen 

      *person - people
